Mary-Kate & Ashley Film Festival

The purpose of this project was to come up with an imaginary festival or event and create a website and poster adverstising it. I liked the idea of creating a festival for something very specific, so I chose to create an imaginary film festival featuring only so-bad-they’re-good Mary-Kate and Ashley movies. As someone who was obsessed with these movies as kid, this was a fun project for me to take on. I decided to create a full pink site to reflect the fun, girly, early 2000s theme of these movies. However, as most of the people who grew up with Mary-Kate and Ashley movies have likely entered adulthood by now, I made sure to balance the bright, overwhelming pink with a simple layout and an elegant font (Playfair Display).
