2019 Shoe Calendar

The purpose of this project was to create a calendar based on a concept or word. I began by creating a mind map to determine which words I would end up exploring for my concept and decided to go with “geometry.” For my “geometry” calendar, I originally wanted to create twelve shapes on Illustrator and have each one represent a month. However, I thought this was lacking something. Combining my love for fashion with graphic design, I illustrated a different pair of legs for each month, each with a stylish pair of shoes, and placed them in a way that looked like they were coming out of the shapes. I also aimed to create movement throughout the calendar by placing each shape at a different angle rather than keeping them all in a straight line.
